Chile's Ventisqueros Globally Relaunches Silverside Brand in Tokyo; Pacific Salmon Sales Up 82% Over Five Years

On October 21, 2026, Chilean seafood company Ventisqueros held a global relaunch event for its Silverside brand in Tokyo, Japan, presenting the premium Pacific salmon brand to more than 80 retail and foodservice customers. From 2021 to 2025, Pacific salmon industry sales grew 82%, with products now reaching 73 markets.

Chilean seafood company Ventisqueros held an event in Tokyo, Japan on October 21, 2026 to globally relaunch its premium Pacific salmon brand Silverside. The event, themed "Step into a Silverside," drew more than 80 customers, all from retail and foodservice channels.

Ventisqueros said the brand refresh includes adjustments to visual identity and packaging, backed by production strategies to improve consistency, freshness and reliability. Company commercial manager Javier Calvo said at the event that the Japanese market has a deep understanding of Pacific salmon and strict standards for quality, consistency and service, making it a strategic market for the company and a suitable place to hear customer feedback and continuously refine its products; he added that the relaunch has a global goal, with the hope that Silverside will continue to grow in more markets and meet the increasingly sophisticated needs of retail chains and foodservice customers.

Tokyo was chosen as the global launch location because of Japan's historical importance to Ventisqueros and its status as one of the main destinations for Chilean Pacific salmon. During the event, the company also held meetings with customers to directly understand their main commercial, logistics and cold chain challenges.

Industry data show that from 2021 to 2025, Pacific salmon sales grew 82%, corresponding to a 16% compound annual growth rate, and products of this species have now entered 73 markets.

On certification and production, all of Ventisqueros' harvested output holds ASC and BAP certification, and its processing plant holds BRC Food certification; the company achieved 100% ASC-certified output in 2024 and maintained that level in 2025. Over the past decade, the company has reduced antibiotic use during the farming grow-out stage by 80%. Starting this season, Silverside will achieve 100% antibiotic-free certification during the seawater farming stage. The company has also introduced remote feeding and continuous technical monitoring tools into its operations.
