Eric Bloom to leave Eastern Fish at end of 2026; company also promotes two sales leaders

Eastern Fish announced that Eric Bloom, who has been with the company for 40 years, plans to depart at the end of 2026; he became CEO in February 2026 after Highwood Harbor acquired the company. The company also promoted Frank DeLibero to Senior Vice President of Sales and Marc Sorranno to Director of Sales.

Eastern Fish announced in October 2026 that Eric Bloom, who has worked at the company for 40 years, plans to leave the company at the end of 2026. Bloom became CEO after Highwood Harbor acquired Eastern Fish in February 2026, having previously served as the company's COO. Highwood Harbor said Bloom will remain with the company in an advisory capacity through the end of the year to complete the ownership transition.

Highwood Harbor CEO Jordan Mazzetta said in the announcement: "For 40 years, Eric has poured himself into Eastern Fish. He (and the Bloom family) built a remarkable company and a great team that is ready to lead Eastern Fish into its strongest years. We thank him." According to information released by the company, Mazzetta currently serves as interim CEO of Eastern Fish.

When the acquisition was completed in February 2026, Mazzetta said the company planned to retain all Eastern Fish employees in their positions.

Alongside Bloom's departure, Eastern Fish announced the promotions of Frank DeLibero to Senior Vice President of Sales and Marc Sorranno to Director of Sales. The company said the two promotions will strengthen its leadership team, and the two will manage and lead the company's sales team.

Mazzetta said: "The new ownership has given us room to invest, and we are putting that investment to work. We are broadening our product range, deepening sourcing relationships, improving processes, raising service standards, and investing in our people. Eastern Fish is stronger today than it was in February." Mazzetta also said DeLibero and Sorranno understand the business and what the market needs, and are the right people to lead Eastern Fish's sales efforts.

DeLibero said: "Our customers rely on us for consistent quality and reliable supply. My focus is on giving the sales team the products, tools and support to meet those needs and help our customers grow."

Eastern Fish's announcement did not disclose financial details beyond Bloom's departure and the two personnel promotions.
