Russia's Federal Fisheries Agency, by Order No. 681 dated October 29, 2026, allocated 2026 catch volumes to participants in the October auctions for Far Eastern basin fishing shares, covering flounder, cod and octopus.

Russia's Federal Fisheries Agency has allocated 2026 fishing quotas to participants in the auctions held in October, covering three categories: flounder, cod and octopus. The allocation is stipulated by the agency's Order No. 681 dated October 29, 2026, as reported by Fishnews on November 5, 2026.

In the South Kuril Islands area, the quota for giant Pacific octopus (多氏巨型章鱼, Enteroctopus dofleini) was obtained by the company "Sandi" («Санди»).

In the Karaginsky subarea, the flounder and cod quotas were obtained by the trading company "Kamchatsky Meridian" (ТД «Камчатский меридиан»); in the West Sakhalin subarea, the flounder quota was obtained by an individual entrepreneur. All of the above participants submitted auction applications for fixed Far Eastern basin fishing shares.

The quotas allocated are for the 2026 catch volume.
