South Korean accelerator GenAxis (CEO Son Mi-kyung) and CNT Tech (CEO Jeon Hwa-sung) completed the establishment of the "CNT Tech-GenAxis Future Young Fisheries Investment Fund" on October 29. The fund belongs to the "Future Young (AC)" section of the fisheries account under the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs' mother fund, and is supervised and managed by the Korea Agriculture and Fisheries Policy Insurance and Finance Corporation.

The two companies will serve as joint general partners (co-GP), responsible for identifying, investing in, and accelerating young startup companies focused on fisheries deep tech. This cooperation builds on the foundation of both parties having previously been appointed to manage the agriculture and food mother fund and the Korea Venture Investment mother fund's early-stage investment portfolio, further expanding their footprint in early-stage startup financing.

The fund's investment targets are companies with verified technological advantages, practical application capabilities, and viable revenue models. Invested companies will receive support for scaling through the two accelerators' incubation networks, and can connect with public-private cooperation programs such as TIPS and LIPS.

The fund's investment direction clearly points to high-potential young startups in the marine and agricultural-fishery ecosystems.
