Students from Chile's Chonchi Maritime Institute Resume Training Voyages Aboard BIM Capitán Williams

On October 27, students in the Merchant and Special Vessel Crew program at Chile's Chonchi Maritime Institute (IDEMAR) boarded the training vessel BIM Capitán Williams, completing two training voyages—one in the morning and one in the afternoon—after departing from the Chonchi pier.

On Tuesday, October 27, the Chilean training vessel BIM Capitán Williams set sail again from the Chonchi pier, carrying students from the Chonchi Maritime Institute (Instituto del Mar Capitán Williams, IDEMAR) for training voyages.

The students taking part in this voyage are enrolled in the school's Merchant and Special Vessel Crew program (Tripulación de Naves Mercantes y Especiales). Two training voyages were conducted that day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, in waters within the municipality of Chonchi.

Before this group of students boarded, another group of students in the same program had already sailed aboard the vessel from Puerto Montt, docking at the Chonchi pier the previous night.

The departure of BIM Capitán Williams from the Chonchi pier marks the resumption of the school's training voyage activities.
