Japanese conveyor-belt sushi chain Kura Sushi launches "Settlement Big Thank You" promotion: eel, crab and 3 other items at 110 yen per plate

Japanese conveyor-belt sushi chain Kura Sushi (くら寿司) will hold its "Settlement Big Thank You" promotion from October 16 to October 25, 2026, offering five popular items including eel and crab at 110 yen per plate (tax included) on a limited-time, limited-quantity basis. The promotion covers all Kura Sushi stores, with uniform pricing across all locations, and some items will end sales once the planned quantity is reached.

The five items in the 110 yen promotion each have a defined sales window. Eel (one piece) and carefully selected crab gunkan (one piece) will be sold from October 16 to October 25; natural red shrimp (one piece) will be available only for three days from October 16 to October 18; and the 1.5x corn gunkan and grilled cheese doria style will also be offered from October 16 to October 25.

According to the disclosure, the eel (one piece) is carefully grilled, then steamed, and then subjected to repeated rounds of sauce dipping and charcoal grilling for a total of three times, resulting in a crispy exterior and tender flesh. The carefully selected crab gunkan (one piece) uses crab meat processed by methods such as boiling immediately after catching to lock in freshness. The natural red shrimp (one piece) is selected from Argentine red shrimp for large-size individuals, with processes such as sweetness-enhancing treatment, butterflying and freezing completed in a short time, and uses skin-tight packaging that prevents the shrimp meat from being damaged or drying out. The 1.5x corn gunkan increases the corn content to 1.5 times the usual amount, using a super-sweet variety with strong sweetness and umami, seasoned with an original mayonnaise that blends egg yolk, brewed vinegar and apple cider vinegar and contains none of the four major additives. The grilled cheese doria style replaces minced meat with coarse-textured soybean meat, mixing a sauce concentrated with the umami of vegetables such as onion, carrot, celery and boiled bamboo shoots with a cheese sauce before grilling.

In addition to the 110 yen items, the promotion also features a QR coupon mechanism. Customers can receive free any one plate from four items: "Southern bluefin tuna otoro (one piece)," "Bigeye tuna (one piece)," "Miyazaki beef stack," and "Kura fries extra large." Among them, southern bluefin tuna otoro (one piece) is 280 yen (tax included), using southern bluefin tuna kept fresh by freezing on board immediately after catching, thawed and sliced in-store before serving, and selected from the highest-grade portion that yields only a few percent of each tuna; bigeye tuna (one piece) is 160 yen (tax included), using large bigeye tuna of 40 kg or more carefully selected by buyers; Miyazaki beef stack is 250 yen (tax included), using beef belly from Miyazaki beef that won the Prime Minister's Award for four consecutive times at wagyu competitions; Kura fries extra large is 380 yen (tax included), fried to order, with the fries given a unique coating on the surface and a portion about twice that of regular Kura fries. All four QR coupon target items are marked as not available for takeout.

The QR coupon must be obtained in advance by scanning the QR code and presented at the register when paying. The conditions for use are a single checkout of 1,000 yen or more (tax included), usable once per day, and only one type of coupon can be used each time. The coupons are divided into two types: "advance notice coupons," which can be obtained at stores before the promotion starts and will be distributed until October 15; and "during-promotion coupons," which can be obtained from the Kura Sushi official website and online advertisements during the promotion, with a distribution period from October 16 to October 25.
